Apples

Today is sponsored by the letter A.

Ok, not really the letter A. It is really sponsored by the fruit apples. Because I love them, eating them keeps the doctor away and mostly because that is the chosen topic from my favorite Haitian and Kyrgyzstani friends.

And for as weird as it was when they chose that as the subject, it is really kind of growing on me. Think about an apple for a second. Now, just see where that takes you. For me it goes something like this:

Apple. Family tree and inside joke. Tattoos with my sisters.

Back to apples (stay on topic).

Cut them in half and you can see a star, but don’t eat the seeds- arsenic you know. Horses spit out the seeds.

Carmel apples, favorite thing after getting my teeth fixed. Thank my parents for my braces and jaw surgery again (it is almost the 8 year anniversary).

Back to apples (stay on topic).

Apple trees, they say we are the good fruit on the top. Can’t shake us down, have to make them climb up and earn us.

Back to apples (stay on topic).

Apple pie. Yum. Yum. Stop drooling and make some. Need to go get groceries.

Back to apples (stay on topic).

Poison apples. Snow White. Sleeping Beauty was supposed to sleep for a hundred years before Prince Desire/Phillip comes… I guess in retrospect I can be patient.

Back to apples (stay on topic).

Gravity. I wonder if there is anything left in this world that will equal that epiphany. Just from an apple! And he was sleeping!

Back to apples (stay on topic).

Apple is яблуко (yablooko) in Ukrainian but апельсин (applesen) is orange. Why does orange sound more like apple? What is the origin of those words, was it a mistype? Is it just irony? Back to apples (stay on topic).

Apples are healthy, they keep the doctor away. They are the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge. So healthy, educational and evil?

Back to apples (stay on topic).

A is for apples, B is for… what is B for? Or C? Why isn’t A for Amanda? There are far more A’s in Amanda anyhow….

And looks like I am back to talking about myself again. HAHA.

Hahhaha. Ok, so you have just seen into my mind for a hot moment. Given a topic and I can still ramble.
