On the one hand,
The rule of thumb,
The whip that is a leash.
On the other hand,
A circle that knows no end,
A sparkle of commitment.
Both are there,
From society to remind,
Of vows and obedience,
Of bliss and romance.
All preconceived notions,
It is or it isn't.
Sometimes in the middle.
Gray area.
But red is the choice,
The bite that draws blood.
The bruises on both,
Victims of mutual passion.
